Madrid-based CG motion studio Kutuko has once again pushed the boundaries of sports product marketing, delivering a high-impact, destruction-filled promotional film for Spanish sports gear brand Bullpadel. The newly released campaign is designed to capture the overwhelming force and dominant character of the brand’s latest equipment offering, the Xplo 02 padel racket, trading conventional sports advertising tropes for an immersive and dramatic narrative.
Rather than relying on the predictable visual language typical of athletic equipment launches—such as pristine studio rotations, slow-motion swings in sunlit courts, or standard athlete endorsements—the creative team at Kutuko chose a markedly different path. They opted for an approach centered around narrative tension, utilizing the aftermath of intense athletic exertion and over-the-top physical damage to communicate the product’s sheer capabilities.
A Narrative Built on Raw Force and Inertia
According to Ibón Vergara, lead 3D artist at Kutuko, the studio’s primary ambition was to step away from standard product video formats to construct a deeper, more compelling story. The central creative hurdle, Vergara noted, lay in finding a way to visually articulate raw athletic force without falling into tired, predictable clichés common in sports marketing.
To achieve this, the studio conceived a scenario featuring a thoroughly destroyed padel court following an extraordinarily intense match. This setting serves as a visual hook, allowing the audience to infer the immense power generated by the Xplo 02 while building immediate intrigue. Every shot in the sequence was meticulously timed to foster a distinct sense of inertia and impending impact, creating a cohesive visual rhythm. From the very first frame, the commercial accelerates in pace, ensuring that the dominant, uncompromising character of the Xplo 02 padel racket is firmly established.
The resulting visual narrative unfolds through a series of dramatic vignettes executed entirely through advanced 3D motion design. Utilizing Cinema 4D as their primary software toolkit, the Kutuko team brought to life hyper-realistic scenes of destruction, including reinforced wire glass shattered by concentrated impact points, deeply fractured racket surfaces, and sparking, ruined athletic infrastructure. These stylized yet visceral details anchor the product within an environment that feels battered by its overwhelming power.

The ambitious project was brought to life through the collaborative efforts of a dedicated production and creative team at Kutuko, working closely with the client, Bullpadel.
The creative direction for the launch film was shared by Ibón Vergara, Adrián Sánchez, and Carlos Cabrera. Vergara also served as lead 3D artist alongside Sánchez, with additional 3D artistry provided by Mario Desner. Project management for the production was handled by Álvaro Ibáñez. To complete the immersive sensory experience of the campaign, sound design was crafted by Rodrigo Marchán, whose auditory work complements the kinetic pacing and heavy impacts depicted in the CG animation.
