Metallica Teams Up With Adidas for Exclusive Apparel Line Ahead of Las Vegas Sphere Residency

Adidas is taking its heavy music playbook to an entirely new level. Following a successful run of nu-metal collaborations with Korn that began in 2003, the German sportswear giant has partnered with thrash metal icons Metallica for a brand-new apparel collection.

The high-profile partnership coincides with Metallica’s massive 24-show residency, titled “Life Burns Faster,” at The Sphere in Las Vegas. To mark the occasion, the legendary band has tapped Adidas to create a comprehensive range of apparel designed specifically for the residency. The assortment features a diverse lineup of tops, including several distinct 1980s-inspired styles, meticulously manufactured in men’s, women’s, and kids’ sizing. A selection of these items will be exclusively available at the concert venue when the highly anticipated residency officially kicks off on Thursday.

For fans who are unable to make the trip to Nevada for the live shows, the collection will also see a broader digital release through both Metallica’s official website and the Adidas online store. The digital drop on the Adidas platform features an extensive run of T-shirts, highlighted by classic ringer tees and three-quarter length sleeve shirts. Each piece prominently incorporates Adidas’ signature Three Stripes motif along the shoulders, paired with Metallica’s instantly recognizable text treatment emblazoned across the chest. Select variants within the lineup also incorporate Adidas’ iconic trefoil logo or original graphic treatments to round out the chest designs.

Additional pieces in the broader collection include tank tops, hoodies, and crewneck sweatshirts, though these items have not yet been signaled for an immediate digital release, leaving fans eager for further updates regarding their availability.

Metallica’s groundbreaking residency at the renowned Las Vegas venue features state-of-the-art, 360-degree visuals designed to immerse audiences entirely in the concert experience. The 24 shows are spread out across Thursdays and Saturdays, running all the way through March 13. Adding to the appeal for dedicated fans, the band has promised a completely different setlist for each individual concert, ensuring that every night offers a unique live performance.

This latest collaboration builds on Adidas’ deepening relationship with the heavy music genre. The brand’s previous metal linkup with Korn capitalized on the band’s long-standing affinity for wearing Adidas gear on stage—most famously demonstrated by their track “A.D.I.D.A.S.,” an acronym playfully standing for “All Day I Dream About Sex.” That successful partnership spanned three distinct drops between October 2023 and 2024, encompassing a wide array of apparel alongside chunky sneaker silhouettes like the Campus 00s and the Supermodified, both of which drew heavy design inspiration from the aesthetic of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

For Metallica, the Adidas collaboration is part of a broader push into fashion and footwear partnerships. Earlier in 2026, the band also joined forces with brands such as Wolverine and Dr. Martens for specialized footwear releases, further cementing their enduring influence across contemporary culture and style.

The Metallica x Adidas Originals collection officially launches on Wednesday at the Adidas retail store in Las Vegas, alongside a special Metallica pop-up experience located at The Venetian. On Thursday, the collection will see a wider release, becoming available directly at The Sphere concert venue as well as through the official websites of both Metallica and Adidas. Pricing for the items in the collection ranges from $40 to $120.
